Jul 28, 2013 · So on my iPhone my home button feels loose. It almost feels like the adhesive is letting go if the phone is cold or has been sitting a while, so when I go to hit it there’s a ‘double click’ when it catches the adhesive.

Mar 13, 2011 · My iPhone home button is a bit loose. I can wiggle it around and it will make a clicking noise. Though the home button works fine, the wiggle and clicking sound is very annoying as I’m ocd about this kind of stuff.

Nov 12, 2013 · iPhone 5S home button seems loose. The home button on my iPhone has a strange feel to it after about of week of use. When I press it, there is a slight click before the actual button press. It’s really noticable when I double-click it for multi-task. Also, the touch-id won’t work when the button is loose.

Sometimes when you replace the digitiser assembly the home button is not lodged correctly. Easy fix. All you need to do is take off the screen and make sure the home button is secure before you tighten it back up. This exact issue has happened to me many times before i eventually started to test the home button before i actually replaced the screws.
